Dakota transmission problem

Hey guys, I've got an 05 Dakota. 4.7 v8. I just replaced the transmission and the transmission wont engage. The fluid level wont change so we're thinking it's not getting pressure. I can shift through all the gears but nothing is happening. Anyone have an idea
