Bluetooth stopped working- electronic problem

The Bluetooth stopped working on my 2008 Sport with the JBL sound system. Pushing the "talk" button on my steering wheel sometimes works but has become intermittent or not working at all. Because of additional behaviors, I do not believe that this is a button issue but an electronic issue. My question: is the Bluetooth built into the radio head unit or is it a separate module? If it is a module, where is it located and does anyone have a part number, thanks!
