Guys, doesn't more hp and torque per cubic inch mean that the engine is being stressed more for it's size? Seems to me that the 4.7 is being pumped very hard. I used to get 410 horses out of my 350 chevy, but it kept blowin' up.
Good too see the other farmer on this here forum now and again. We be grownin tobacco, butter and snap bean, some corn, and be farmin out land too other folks too. Good too see some other folks workin them farms, gettin fewer and fewer round here now. Good luck on this one now!
time behind the plow that's fo shure. Trucksrme be talkin bout them butter beans. They somewhat akin to limas. Mighty fine eatin when you can get em fresh. Put some butter beans with creamed silver queen and a big slice of a Better Boy tomato and some fried okra...that's what I'm talkin bout.
I watched my grandfather behind a mule and a plow. On one occasion, my grandfather hooked up his plow to the Allis-Chalmers to dig up a couple rows of Irish taters. He had to do it that way because the big plow was burying the taters. It was quite a site to see him give my uncle (driving the tractor) the "Gee" and "Haw" commands. Rows were around 200 ft. and they seemed like a mile to me when I had to pick them all up and sort them.
About towing with the Tundra - I guess the new optional tow package Toyota is coming out with will change that. The option allows hooking up a grocery cart to the back of the Tundra.

I don't see any mention of livestock......or does it come from butter trees?
Or the real question here is what breed of dairy cows do you milk?
Spent many of days back on the farm on the old John Deere 4020 pulling the plow......
