Why doesn't the flasher/signals work

I replaced the flasher unit....when I tested it then worked fine....all the bulbs worked.....then I went for a drive and the signals don't flash......the lights come on but don't flash

what would cause the flasher unit to malfunction?

So the turn signal lights come on but don't flash? An internal short in the flasher could cause that, but since you replaced the flasher relay, either the replacement has the same issue, or there's likely a short elsewhere. Were you having the same problem before the replacement?
