My 2012 Focus transmission was slipping and hammering terribly I had it in the dealer several times with no fix, they told me I would have to purchase a new transmission for $2500.. I saw a post on You Tube saying the transmission uses electric motors and all you have to do to fix the problem is remove the negative battery terminal from where it connects to the body of the car and clean off the paint so the terminal connects better to the frame. This fixed my problem... it immediately started to shift like a dream and has worked flawlessly for a month now. I just want to pay this forward, I will not be checking this forum for responses.
