99 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR GOES IN REVERSE BUT NOT INTO DRIVE.ITS NEVER SLIPPED,JUMPED OR ANYTHING

FULL OF FLUID HAS NEVER DISPLAYED ANY PROBLEMS DROVE TO THE DRIVE WAY IN DRIVE BACKED IN THE VEHICLE AND IT SAT THERE A LITTLE OVER A MONTH WENT TO GET NEW TIRES AND NOW IT WONT GO INTO DRIVE,OVER DRIVE OR 1ST OR 2ND.SEEMS LIKE THE TRUCK NEVER GETS OUT OF PARK EXCEPT FOR REVERSE NO PROBLEMS WITH REVERSE PLEASE HELP.

    First, make sure there is plenty of tranny fluid - overfill it a bit!

    Second, be very patient and see if it might take a while to get forward to engage. Try revving it a bit AFTER you've gotten the thing warmed up. Do the revving gently.
