Used car cost per mile
I started looking at used Jeep prices as a simple ratio of mileage to sales price using a mileage cutoff point of 200,000. This is primarily for those Jeeps near or over 150,000 mileage and the most often quoted 200k reasonable service life.
Using the ratio , a 10 year old Jeep Cherokee with 104k miles for $8,000.00 is costing about .08 per mile. That doesn't include upkeep, insurance, and fuel. Seems highly expensive when you ignore the emotional attachment aspect of owning a Jeep.
