No Start - Radio Comes On after ignition switch turned off (with Radio off at start)
I am confused by what is happening with my 2002 Tahoe. This morning, tried to start the Tahoe. Nothing, a few clicks but not crank. Heard the fuel pump prime. After trying a few times, turned the ignition off. Interior lights came on (as usual) but radio also came on. I turned off the radio. Tried again and same thing happened. Turned off radio again manually. After it happened again, I opened the door and the radio went off (as usual). Tried again but this time made sure to turn on radio before ignition turned to run to confirm radio was on before I turned it off again. Same thing happened; after a couple of attempts to start the Tahoe, the radio comes on after I turn off the ignition.
Any ideas? Why would radio come on. I had a similar problem with my 2000 Monte Carlo with the radio. It would turn on all by itself when I was driving. Ended up removing the fuse to the radio in the Monte Carlo. Haven't had a radio for about a year now. Don't want to have to do the same with the Tahoe.
