Turbo 91 Toyota Corolla Deluxe?

I recently purchased a 91 Toyota Corolla Deluxe and want desperately to turbo this car. In researching, I have found it to be a rare thing to do. That doesn’t stop my determination. I talked to a local tuner and he said you can’t tune this car because it is so old. Any help here?

  • He might mean it's not worth the cost/effort for what you'd get. Maybe you want to look into an engine swap. There was a turbocharged version of the 2E engine.

With the age of the car and how many miles/hours are in the engine, putting it under additional strain by turbocharging will likely result in a major failure.
