door mode actuator defaulting

I installed a new door mode actuator last year and it has been fine(except a few times when I had to reset it) now after installing a new heater door actuator it defaults to defrost after a few second after resetting it or after starting the vehicle

    What code is setting in the HVAC controller?

    i don't have a scanner to check the code but I turned the key on and unplugged the main control in the dash and plugged it right back in and now it works
