Thank you for the information on keyless entry remotes. Your article verified what I was told about getting a second key: that I really need to get it from the dealer.

    Hey,
I have a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan with two fobs. Both start the car just fine. The door/window function works fine on one, but the other does not. If I buy a fob, can I program it to work with my two start functioning fobs with the new fob window/door function working too?

I lost a few months ago and recently found my old key fob for my 2017 Nissan Sentra. Do you know of a way I can sell it back to anyone? I went to a locksmith who sold me a re-programmed key fob so it doesn't work for me anymore but I paid all in around 5-600 dollars and would love to recoup as much money back as possible. Any suggestions? I can be reached at rosen.95@gmail.com my name is Brian. Thank you!

    For brosen2009:

The Locksmith should have blanked for you then you can sell it in ebay, offerUp ect. For $25.00

What I would do is this, re learn it to the car. (Locksmith Job) and use it as a back up spare key.

I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 LX 4-door, 2.4 litre. I have 2 original 4-button key fobs, but would like a 3rd. Can't seem to find an aftermarket seller. My dealer wants over $300! Any ideas?

If you are willing to spend 20 minutes to do-it-yourself, Tom's Key Company rents programming equipment and sells keys for way less than a dealer charges. Just Google Tom's Key Company.

Replacement and programming of a new keyless entry fob for a 2012 Camry at our dealership cost over $800. Lots of people over may decades lose car keys, including me. In the past, it was possible to make half a dozen keys, hide them in various locations around the house, my office, my purse, and give them to close family members, all for under $20. I did loose some, but never had a car stolen, never got locked out, and never had to pay $800 to replace a key fob! (I've been driving for 53 years.) Keyless entry is really stupid and it's hard to understand why so many suckers think it's just dandy.
