Towing with the Ascent

I am very interested in the Ascent, but I am leery about it being a 4 cylinder and still being able to tow up to 5,000 pounds. What is everyone's experience who has towed more than 3500 pounds? I have a 4,000 pound Tear Drop Travel Trailer (WinnieDrop 170k), especially in hills and mountains? I live in the Northwest and the terrain isn't exactly flat. TIA

What is your ascent? You need to have a towing hitch first to pull that kind of weigh. Based on https://www.subarupartspros.com/sku/l101sxc004.html, it can carry max 5000 so yours is acceptable provided that your edition is limited or premium.
