2001 gmc Jimmy - won’t move

I have a 2001 Gmc Jimmy 4x4 I drove it home i put it on drive and it shifted perfect I put a new rearend in it and now it won't do anything in drive I have to put it in 1st and manually shift it but it won't do anything in drive at all.. anyone know what it could be?

    I'm no transmission expert, and there are folks around with more drivetrain expertise, but I'd certainly start by looking at the new rear end you put in. Given the age of the vehicle, I suppose it's possible something coincidentally went wrong with the transmission, unrelated to the rear end change.
