Blower motor failure, replaced multiple times

I have a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz in which I’ve replaced the blower motor 3 times in the past 5 years. The most recent time I was getting a hot, burning electrical smell through the vents then the motor seized up. When I installed the new motor it would not turn on so I replaced the resistor as well. Now the blower works but is noisy and the motor body is extremely hot. I’m at a loss after replacing the motor several times and put in a new resistor. Any ideas what the issue may be? The last two replacements started with that hot burning smell.
