Possible A/C Compressor Issue?

I have a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country. It has been make a roaring/rattling noise for quite some time now. In the last few weeks when you shut off the engine it sounds like something keeps turning for a second or so, kind of a clicking spinning type noise. Anyone else experience this? Seems like its worse when the a/c is running.
