So all of a sudden my heater motor won't shut off when key is turned off. Barely running but draining my battery

Is the fan control on or off? If the fan control is on and the blower is running when you take out the key, I'd lean towards an issue with the ignition lock cylinder. I had a similar issue once. Things were work in the cylinder to the point where I could turn the key towards the OFF position and remove it, but the cylinder had actually only turned to ACCESSORY so the fan would run if it was turned on and drain the battery.

Double check and make sure the fan is NOT running when the blower control is set to OFF. Then you'll know that when you remove the key, power is somehow getting to the blower motor. I guess it's possible there's a short somewhere other than the ignition cylinder, but the cylinder would be first on my list
