New To Me Large SUV

Hello everyone, I want to replace my 2000 Mercedes E320 Wagon with a larger SUV. I love my wagon, and have not had any issues with it, but with almost 250,000 miles, it is time for something a little newer. I really like the GL, but after reading all of the reviews, I'm scared of reliability issues. Does anyone know if the 2011 - 2015s have the same issues? My other car of choice is a Q7, has anyone heard of any issues with this compared to the GL's? Thanks for the help.
