I need some advice on buying a Honda S2000. I am looking at trading in my current 2008 Honda Civic EX with 98,000 miles for a 2004 Honda S2000 with 95,000 miles. My current civic runs great and has had the oil changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. The civic has had to be repainted once and the current paint is in ok shape. The car does need 2 new rear tires. The horn also does not work and a second horn was installed and connected to a button on the dash near the steering column (long story and needed to pass inspection very quickly). The S2000 is in great condition with a brand new soft top and 2 new tires. The car runs great, has never been in an accident, and the previous owners kept up with all scheduled maintenance. The original offer I got from the dealer is below and I was wondering what people think of this deal. The S2000 was originally listed for the MSRP value but it is currently listed at the dealership for $16,999.00.
