Wiring short causes major lighting issues!

Good morning....while putting the ashtray back in on my '03 Impala, I moved the ashtray light, causing a short.
Afterwards, whenever it gets dark and the sensor kicks in the headlights etc, my instrument panel/radio/a/c lights fade to dark, and i lose my taillights. My headlights still activate, and i have brakelights....but everything else is dark. Is there a relay that would rectify mysituation? Or is my problem more serious?

As far as the dash dimming when the headlights come on that may be normal. Try turning your dash lights control up. The tailights going out needs to be analyzed separately.
