The hold button on my 07 camry key fob only beeps when I press it but doesn't open the trunk. the part number for the remote is 89070-06232. can anybody help me explain why or help me reprogram my key fop so it works.

    It's possible that the fob is not the issue. Could be the trunk release solenoid, could be a physical problem with the trunk latch mechanism itself. The Hold button is about the car alarm isn't it? Isn't there a separate button for opening the trunk?
