REPLACING SEATBELT/AIRBAG WARNING SENSORS

has anyone else had a problem with the seat sensors throwing a seatbelt/airbag warning message? how have you fixed it or have you had to pay a dealer to replace the sensors? how much is too much to pay? If the same is happening in other Mini Cooper models, does that make it a recallable mfg design flaw?
