Transfer Case Encoder Motor issue/replacement

So I have a 2009 Kia Sorento LX 4WD model and Ive taken it to a few different places to get an issue checked out. Both shops are coming back with the transfer case encoder motor is bad. This is not allowing me to switch into 4WD and it makes sense. I have searched about everywhere on the internet about buying the part myself, way lower cost, but everything says the part fits 03-08. Not sure why 2009 wont fit, but before I buy the part I wanna make sure its all the same and im not wasting my time on sending it back and trying to install it.
Anyway, if anyone has come across this issue or has insight on the part compatibility I would sure appreciate it.
