Kia Soul Performance in Snow, Rain and Ice

I'm thinking about a 2020 X-Line Soul with 18 inch wheels. I've never driven a vehicle with such a short wheel base in potentially difficult weather. I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience that can share. This will be in the North Seattle area.
