Bluetooth volume issues

When I receive or make a call via bluetooth in my Mitsubishi Outlander I can hardly hear the other person even though the volume on my phone is all the way up and the call volume in car settings is all the way up, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks.
