Removing the fuse for the ABS system.
I have a 2008 GMC Savana (3500, 6.0Litre Gas) whose ABS breaking is engaging every stop upon coming an almost stop.....every time. I understand I can have the wheel speed sensors changed, or the ABS relay, or whatever!!!!...But, as I am not a proponent of ABS in any case....can I just pull the fuse and be done with it?

At one time the ABS was added to a complete base brake system and if it was inoperative you still had a regular proportioning valve/combination valve in the system. That is not the case with your 2008. It relies on the ABS electronics to balance the front and rear braking. It also is the foundation for stability control, traction control and four wheel drive if equipped. It really does need to be operational for the vehicle to perform as designed.5
