Battery drain, Ignition key problems

Started with after removing key from ignition keep dinging. First time took battery a week to drain, then got worse to the point of a few hours. Replaced the Ignition assembly but still happening. removed it and operated it manually still signaling as if keep was in, even do the hold assembly is out. What next?
