Replacing the heated 2016 S60 windshield with a non-heated windshield?

I live in southern california, so I never use the heated windshield (the wires in the windshield also block visibility in a way, would be better visibility without them).

Also, the non-heated aftermarket windshield is $400 cheaper than the heated version.

I've heard though that replacing it with an aftermarket non-heated windshield could make the car turn on maintenance lights, not sure how big of a deal it would be.

Are there any large downsides to replacing the S60 heated windshield with an aftermarket non-heated windshield?
