Port injector on the Highlander V6

Back around 2016, the Toyota Highlander V6 added direct fuel injectors. We all know the problem direct injection caused. As some point Toyota like all the other manufactures bit by direct injection added another injector in the intake port to wash the valves.

Does anyone know when Toyota made this changer?

    2016 is when the D4-S (dual injection system) system was added to several Toyota/Lexus engines. Direct injection started before that.
