2018 Chevrolet Traverse Problems Too Soon
Hello everyone,
I bought a 2018 traverse premier edition. I did a ton of research on it before since my wife is extremely skeptical of American cars, and most websites gave it a good review. The vehicle now has 36,000 miles. I am now facing an issue that is very disturbing, and I am hoping someone here can give me some insights into it since my dealer told me they are unable to replicate the issue, and since there are no error codes on the computer they can't help me.
Recently, many times when the car does its auto-stop, it doesn't always restart or it restarts but then promptly shuts back down. I then have to put in park and restart. I sort of notice it doesn't do this immediately after it has been shut off for some time. It usually starts acting up after being driven for about 30mis or so. I have also had 2 to 3 instances where I placed it in reverse and it promptly shuts its self down. I used to smell burning when this happens but the burning smell has now gone away since the dealer said they changed the batteries.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

weather, how long the vehicle sat before it was started and the problem occurred. What accessories were being used (AC, Radio ??) When you manually restart are there any problems then? The fact that it quits in reverse suggests a stalling unrelated to the start/stop system which should only be active in DRIVE. What is the likelihood that it is going to act up on any given trip?
