Why does my Forester stall while stopped on a hill?

Hello everyone, recently my 2011 Subaru Forester has been stalling out but only when I am stopped pointing upward on a hill. Does anyone know what this could be? I have tried putting in fuel injector cleaner the past couple fuel ups and so far it hasn’t done much. It also shudders a little bit at start up.

Is it an automatic or manual? How many miles do you have on it? Also, I'd check the fuel level. I know it might sound a bit crazy but fuel rolling in the back of the tank might trigger the engine to think that you're out of gas and shuts off. Try it with a full tank and see if it does the same. Otherwise, I have no idea what it could cause it. Perhaps asking a mechanic who's familiar with Subaru's.

It could be the brake light switch, which can cut off fuel if it's misadjusted or defective.
