Has anyone tried out the Turbo Diesel for the 2021 Yukon. Compared to the 5.3?

In the market for a 2021 Yukon XL. There are not many diesels around here in California to try and drive. I understand that the diesels get better MPG. Has anyone been able to test drive one or have one and compared it to the 5.3 in the SLT's? Im trying to decide if it is worth it to wait, or just go with the 5.3
