Running, lights, smoke issue

2014 Equinox, 2.4 L it starts fine then after driving for maybe 20 minutes it will start to smoke, headlights go real dim almost to point doesn't look like on, warning lights on dash all come on (ex service power steering, service charging system) then all lights go out and vehicle stops running.. when try to restart will not.
Any ideas
