    It looks something like a '39 Chevy pickup grill. Can you post a photo taken from the side?

    How tall is it? From those pics it looks like it comes up to about your waist. Something about it makes me think of a medium-duty truck, as in, something bigger than your typical pickup truck. But probably from around the mid/late 30's.

    OPs grille has a curved lower element that I don't see on that 37 Ford, maybe an illusion? 37 Ford seems to be the closet, definitely has the period Ford or Lincoln look. Also not sure how it detaches, maybe standard model 38 Ford:
