2002 Tahoe Key will not turn in Ignition

I have a 2002 Chevy Tahoe and I went to start it up this morning and the key will not turn in the ignition. The steering wheel is not locked and the car is in park. I have tried 2 different keys with no success. Any suggestions?

i would venture to say one of the tumblers inside the ignition fell in or jammed. if this happens, no key is going to turn in the ignition.

We purchased this van from a dealership. 2 days of use the key wouldn't turn. I messed with it for over an hour and finally got the key to turn. Took to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong and that the alarm system locked it up. Now it's 2 days later and the key will not turn again. I need some answers before I take this back to the dealership and they lie to me again

Check out the Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler Minivan Problems & Solutions and Chrysler Town & Country: Starting/Stalling/Idling Problems discussions. Try searching in those discussions for interlock - I seem to remember some related ignition issues when I was hosting in Vans a few years ago. But your year may precede the interlock - Chrysler drug their feet installing them.
