why? Are you trying to act smart?
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
I think you're still misreading the posts (or you're pulling our legs!).

    Ignore the wheels.

Put 8 concrete blocks in the back of the Outlander. The rear end will go down a bit.

If you swap the blocks for an extra set of wheels/tires - same sag. That's what's going on here. ;)

My apologies to everyone...I had no intention to cause such controversy over pics of my ride. I will repost pics soon and we can all pretend this never happened!

    Its all my fault.. sorry!

    Bearishly4u,

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the new wheels cost?
  • bearishly4ubearishly4u Member Posts: 38
I spent 1150.00 for the complete tire/wheel package out the door.
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
    That's like what, $3.25 a pound?

    :D
  • bearishly4ubearishly4u Member Posts: 38
    something like that....

Can any 07outlander owner post some pictures about the key? I saw some pictures about XLS FASTPSS key,but isnt it the ES and LS model have different key, wanna know how doest it look like.

I have to agree with you on the rails. Without the rails you can actually see the sporty rear sloping roof line much better which they keep mentioning in the reviews. You definately lose the shape a little with rails, silver paint color in particular.
  • bearishly4ubearishly4u Member Posts: 38
I will post a pic of my ES key tonight unless someone beats me to it. :)
  • billyybillyy Member Posts: 11
    Cant wait to see that..Thanks

Here's a pic of my key for the 07 Outlander ES

The red bar blinks when you press the lock or unlock. I haven't actually pressed "panic".

Lookin good, I *almost* got that color combination, but the flip of a coin put me in Diamond White.

Hey, what color are the interior door handles on your car?
  • growwisegrowwise Member Posts: 296
black plastic I suppose. Its weird I was looking at this page again and I dont see the pics. Do you see the pics I posted?

Hopefully some of the body enhancements make it to the US. Definitely a look I'm going for. Is it just me, or does the grill work give it a Saab look?

would like to know if there is a tether or a holder for the gas cap. TIA
  • biscuit_xlsbiscuit_xls Member Posts: 194
Yes, there is a tether and a holder built into the fuel door... at least on my US spec XLS.

I appologize for the rugs on the floor as I live in Wisconsin and mats tend to get real dirty around this time of year. Took delivery in January but it's been to cold to screw with pictures.

I've got a Blue XLS with navi, S and S, and luxury packages. So far I love it. I took some air pressure out of the tires today as the dealer had them overinflated....WOW...rides a LOT smoother now.

    Enjoy

Thats one sweet ride. Speaking of mats, my OEM rubber mats havent arrived yet (its almost a month now). I just flipped my current ones face down and making do with them. Salesperson shouldnt have let me buy them if they were not going to get it on time. I could have bought after market and would have prevented salt getting in.

Looks great! I can't wait for spring to get here to take some good pics.

I just took delivery of my black XLS, S&S, Luxury, no navi, but they couldn't get me the tow hitch. Is yours dealer installed? I am working on removing the 3rd row seat and roof rails. How do you like the paddle shifters? I think they are going to get me in trouble. I seem to hit ~60mph as I shift into third. City cops aren't fond of that. (Or the 650 Watts !)
  • rcpaxrcpax Member Posts: 580
I think if you don't want those features you could have really big $$ if you went for an LS rather than an XLS. Just my 0.02$
  • clutchguy77clutchguy77 Member Posts: 25
I had the hitch included in my price but the dealer didn't install it. Toys for Trucks put it in for me. They had a minor problem putting in the electric for it as LED tailights are apparently problematic. It wasn't a huge deal but it took them a few extra hours to figure it out.

Tell you the truth, I haven't used the paddle shifters hardly at all. I've never owned a stick in my life and personally it just doesn't interest me.
  • clutchguy77clutchguy77 Member Posts: 25
I might get some rubber mats as well. The cloth ones included are black and salt from shoes doesn't take long to make them look crappy. Does Mitsu make ones specifically for Outlanders?? I suppose my dealer would know where to get them......
  • growwisegrowwise Member Posts: 296
rubber mats are dealer option. I went with it since after market ones dont fit snugly which will let the carpet get messy. Standard mats that come with the vehicle can get dirty fast. Even if you flip them, they dont cover the carpet well. I hate to pull out the vacuum and clean it.

Hi growwise. You are in Toronto right? Were you able to order the OEM rubber mats here? How much are they?
  • steverstever Guest Posts: 52,454
Congrats on the new (soon to be delivered) Outlander Cxt153!

Try uploading the photos to your CarSpace album - they aren't showing up for me here in the discussion and it looks like you may be trying to link to your hard drive. They need to be "hosted" somewhere - like CarSpace. ;)

Rubber mats cost something like 300 bucks including cargo mat. Its been more than a month but havent heard a peep from the dealer. Their excuse is that it is a new model and aftermarket has to catch up. Well they didnt tell me while purchasing the car.. whatever.

Dodo, when are you buying one? I know you have been at it for couple months now...
  • dodo2dodo2 Member Posts: 496
I just bought it, waiting for the delivery later this week. I called few dealers in GTA and they all told me that the OEM rubber mats are not available yet. I have seen the rubber cargo tray which is more of a hard plastic than rubber. I did not like it and I found it too expensive also at $143 CAD. I think I will look at some generic rubber mats for now - I saw some Michelin mats at Costco, but not sure if they fit. At least I can return them if they don't.

How much did you pay for the tonneau cover?
  • mmazmmaz Member Posts: 3
Nice. Is that the silver or light blue? Hard to tell
  • ken4nyken4ny Member Posts: 40
I bought it from ebay brand new for $113 + shipping. Total for $126 and change.
  • ken4nyken4ny Member Posts: 40
It's silver because it was cloudy when I took the pictures.
  • rcpaxrcpax Member Posts: 580
I see. I think it was from a Kia-Mitsu vendor, but I think he closed his e-store now. Too bad he didn't offer the tonneau cover in beige. Could have gotten one too.
  • ny_outlanderny_outlander Member Posts: 16
I took a look at your pictures. Did you really change the door handles? Did you do all 4 and are the parts available in the US? :surprise:
