Jaguar C-XF

We finally see the future styling direction of Jaguar. When I look at the pictures I sort of switch back and forth from liking it to thinking it is an odd cross between a Lucerne and an Aston Martin. The grill seems too square to me to fit the rest of the car. I wish they would work on an F-Type and bring out a credible RWD BMW 3 series competitor. What do other people think?

I think if the XF looks remotely close to this it will do well. I like it, it's new and youthful appearance. Jaguar is trying to appeal to a younger buyer. If the XF looks anything like this I will truly consider purchasing it. My choices are the Lexus GS and 5 series. Pending the engine configuration I would really consider it. To your question the X-type is more a 3 series competitor I'm sure they will make adjustments all the way down the line.

I don't have a problem with the side profile as it is rather sporting and sleek (especially for a sedan) image

But from front on? Ehhhhh, not really liking it. Something rather "Buick-y" about the grill and I'm not liking whats going on in the lower air-damn area.

This is a good enough looking car, but it doesn't say "Jaguar" at all. It looks a Ford Concept from a little while ago, I can't think of the name. The sides need something IMO. Still though Jaguar has nothing to lose at this point so this might work. The XK was a step in the right direction, but this I'm not so sure about.

Personally I like the way it looks all the way around. I just hope the people at Jaguar don't change it to much.
