CX-5 2020 keyless fob not detected to start engine

15 month old CX-5. I need to put the fob literally on the start button to start the engine, otherwise it is not detected. This started suddenly about a week ago. I tried with a new battery, but same behaviour. Unlocking doors at a distance works fine. My other key fob works fine.

Do I need a new fob? Are the key fobs under the 3 years warranty?

The issue should be under the initial warranty. By the description it is very likely this is a FOB issue.
