Instrument Black Out And Power Steering Quits

Put on my turn signal and the instruments blacked out and power steering quit for a moment. Any idea what is going on. Has happened twice and just avoided hitting another vehicle. See there are a ton of complaints with this happening, but have read no solution to the problem. Anyone know what's going on ?
