    Did you test its range in Normal or Eco mode? In Eco, the front engine isn’t used, whereas on Normal, it’s used when needed. I’d be very curious to see how the AWD’s range in Eco compared to the RWD version. Sure, the second motor adds weight, but probably not too much relative to the battery mass it’s already carrying….

    Actually eco mode does use both motors as shown on the dash display of power distribution.
    Having two motors increases maximal regen braking by applying it to both axles.
