The Lexus is rock solid 4x4, superior quality. You simply cannot compare the LX with the kinds of Mercedes or Audi or this Jeep. The Lexus is build to last 25 / 30 years under the most hard conditions. The competition, if any, boulevard cruisers.

LX 600 will have a much higher resale value and reliability than the Grand Wagoneer. I'm a Lexus guy having had about six of them. But Grand Wagoneer? You had me at McIntosh and V8. I'll take the Grand Wagoneer.

I'm not sure who drove the LX in this comparison but they either put the suspension into comfort mode or were outright lying when they said the LX was floaty and soft and had a boat like ride. Having driven the LX myself this is absolutely not true. The ride of the LX is the best of any large SUV that I've ever driven.

When I looked at LX build site, thought you could get quite the nice configuration at about $95K. Also, put some air in the tires and keep it in Sport mode. Bet it will drive real nice. Pound for pound, hard to beat a Lexus. Remember, folks in the GW have to go to a Jeep dealer ... ouch. : -)

Lads, I leased the Grand Wagoneer (third trim). Lexus IS going to play catchup. ( have owned the ES 3500, IC 250, LS 460 and the LS 500.). If I rate the McIntosh at an 8, maybe a 9. The Mark Levenson is a 10+. Other than that the Grand Wagoneer out does them all.

    Hi
I think your first drive may have given you the opinion that you have-and it is rightful.
Coming in with the idea of the LX -on the first drive , the LX 600 does seem floaty.
However you need to drive it a few times to enjoy and discover this vehicle.
I got my LX 600 Luxury version 2 weeks ago. My fist drive gave me the same opinion as you.
However after driving for two weeks you understand this vehicle better-What roll-nonet much. Acceleration -fantastic. Finish inside and quality-impeccable. You need a stiff drive move up to Sport or sport plus-great. Off road at the foothills of the Rockies in Alberta-raise the vehicle and enjoy. The looks-solid man.
So let us not rush to conclusions too fast (smile)

    Lol, Jeep verses LEXUS

Haha, which one will be desirable and VAUBLE in five years??

Lexus runs circles around Jeep and most other brands

Total quality but to each his own. A lot of folks wasting money these days …
