Strange Buzzing sound on Highlander on start up

a month or so ago I started hearing this loud buzzing sound coming from what appears to be under the dashboard on the drivers side. This lasts for a few seconds. If the car hasn't been run for a while and in garage the sound will last a good 10 seconds. If car has been sitting in sun usually never hear the sound. There are times however during driving it will buzz a few seconds but usually after 5 minutes of driving never hear it. I used to notice a squeaking sound before this started.
