With technologies like "One" in Michigan there are way to extend the range of a battery. They modified a Tesla to go 700 miles on a charge leveraging their technology. A number of auto companies are partnering with them to give the cars extended range. I know Honda thinks charging stations are the answer, and they are part of it. Going further than 250 miles like many cars offer is another part. At least with Honda going with GM's Ultima battery they can get up to 400 miles with two wheel drive. That is reasonable.

I’m sorry, but the argument underlying the EV discussion is invalid. There is no mandate from the masses that we all must have plug in vehicles. There are a few, only an insignificant minority, of die-hard EV proponents that are interested in owning EV as their primary mode of transportation. Furthermore, there simply is no infrastructure, not the possibility of infrastructure, in the next several decades to support the EV revolution being proposed here. It’s an absurdity that needs to be exposed for what it is, and to let the free market decide.
