There's a new baby Jeep in town, but the only hang up is the new Avenger won't be coming to a town near you anytime soon. Here's why that's a bit of a let down.

Exactly what I'm looking for - high clearance, about 30 cu ft cargo behind the rear seats, AWD dual motor. First OEM that offers this in a small SUV under $40,000 gets my instant business.

Compact SUVs are where all the former compact car buyers have gone. Offer an electric one with real off-road capability at a volume market price and you'll corner that segment.

The mere advantage of 250 miles per charge would be a big selling point as long as they kept the body looks good and they don't mess up the interior.
Jeep Liberty interior was ok but cheap, but it sold. It had its problems but it held up, well, not the diesel.

If this car came to the US and was offered with a confirmed 250 mi max charge range, it would already be ahead of many of
    the other EV's.

Perhaps JEEP is afraid that the upcoming EV's will be able to get more than 250 miles per charge and leave the Avenger in the dust, and if Jeep cannot improve on that number over time, that could very well be the case, but that would happen over seas as well.

My Jeep Liberty, which I really like, will soon come to end life in a few years. I am looking at what JEEP has to offer.

The Recon gets 50 miles per charge, that is so OLD HAT, the Chevrolet VOLT gets that, Recon is missing the boat.
The Grand Cherokee also is stuck at 50 miles per charge. Who are they getting their Tech from????

They need to wake up and send the AVENGER to the US market. The 250 mile per charge will draw in EV seekers just by
    the available electric miles.
As long as they can make it attractive inside AND OUT and not put a grill on that looks like itis buck toothed, or look like the fabled Edsel, it will sell.
I'M already interested, not ship over seas interested, but if they have it in the US for sales, I am very interested, 250 miles per charge interested.
