Is this the best first car to buy with your money I am looking to spend around 5 grand thanks

    If you’re asking about a Scion I’d say yes. It’s a Toyota so you will probably get good use out of it. Have a mechanic do an inspection before you buy. Service records showing regular fluid changes are a big plus for cars in that price range.

    You also might consider a domestic sedan with either the GM 3800 or Ford 4.6L engine. For that price look for something owned by an older person.
