Car writers do us a disservice when they choose to not discuss engine smoothness, very low end torque, and everyday refinement in operaton on the newer generation of super-boosted four cylinder engines. Despiite what one might take from this article, four cylinder engines lag in engine balance, smoothnss, and refinement compared to V8 engines and even many inline six engines. Is this car an exception? If so, a discussion of that achievement would have been helpful.
