loving the indiana winter with my 95 f350 4x4.
c'mon you pre-99 f series pickup owners, lets give the silverado topic a run for its money.

I'll post a link to this forum from some of the other Ford truck topics. So hang in there.... Okay? Happy motoring. ;-)

I guess my main objective was to offer the pre-super duty crowd a forum where they could discuss their issues and problems.
If it becomes really active here..., we could break this up into two forums: "F-series 1980-1996" and "F-series 1997-1998". In the meantime, I figured one forum could cover the current needs... What do you think?
Talk to you later. ;-)

F250's from '97 on. I ve see n lots of F250 HDs,
freeways are full of them...with lady drivers too,
at least here in greater Los Angeles...I feel reason not too many ladies on Townhouse topic
rooms is because they are out enjoying their
awesome trucks while their boyfriends and hubby's
drive the Honda Accords...

the wife is driving the f350 4x4 to work and i am driving the escort to work .
the weather here in northern indiana hasn't been too good this week.
if i am good this week, i may get to drive the truck this weekend.
i must say i am amazed how smooth the truck rides with the 4x4 engaged.(no silverado vibrations, that ought to get some posts going!!!).
see ya,

My C2500 rides like a 3/4 ton truck with 16 in
tires filled to 50 psi front and 80 psi rear....
ahhhh smooth as sandpaper....

So far I've changed the oil & filter, air filter, breather element, and PCV valve; and have purchased spark plugs and a fuel filter which will be installed shortly. I realize the law of diminishing returns will kick in pretty quickly, but is there any one thing I can do relatively inexpensively that will result in a marked improvement in gas mileage (like in the 10+ range)?
I'm also leaking a fair amount of oil - From going over the previous owner's records, the rear main seal seems to have been an area of focus in the past. Is this a common problem with this engine?
