Unfortunately, this thoughtful article in no way helps my quest to obtain one of these beauties at sticker price. Thanks for that, Nick. I think the references to Porsche just sealed the deal for me. As the long term owner of a magnificent manual transmission 997.2 Porsche GT3, I’m thrilled at the prospect of a daily driver that could remotely provide even a hint of that magical Porsche driving experience. I started my Honda journey with a then new 1987 Integra. Seems only fitting to return, once again, to the company that builds glorious engine/transmission combinations and fits vehicles around them. I’m sold. Thanks for that, too!

Wonderful new FL5. I don't believe the FK8 is worth the upgrade for me. I'm very likely to acquire a FL5 in the future. Honda deserves praise for preserving the Type-R for Canadians despite its absurdly restrictive availability. ThrottleHouse is also very awesome. Only SavageGeese can compare to them as the top automobile review site. Regards, boys.

Or do you grab a Hyundai ELANTRA N? 97% of the car that the type R is at 70% of the cost?
