Throttle position sensor problem 1996 Geo Prizm 1.6L
Hi everyone. I replaced the TPS on this 1996 Geo Prizm and now it runs like crap. I have replaced it twice now thinking maybe bad from stock TPS? But no fix yet. I have tried adjusting it and resetting to specs that are called out online. No fix. When you press the accelerator it bogs down and wants to cut off and sometimes does and sometimes will jump up to the higher RPM I was originally pushing for. Again this is a 1996 Geo Prizm 1.6L

Bogging down/cutting out when trying to accelerate could be caused by either an ignition or fuel system issue. (Could be both, especially with the age of the vehicle) Using a scan tool what are the fuel trims and O2 sensors displaying when you try to accelerate?
How have you tested and confirmed if the ignition system can produce a strong spark? Have you inspected/tested/replaced any of the ignition components?
Are there any codes setting? If so, what are they?
