This is a no brainer. I have the FS, but have driven both the others. I would go with the Santa FE hands down. Only reason I bought the FS is that I got 8k off the msrp. Though I now regret this decision and I haven't even had any of the problems many others have had with the FS. Good luck.
  • The weakness in the XL7 is the body integrity (not stiff enough, not as many ripples/welds) compared to the Freestyle, which has a very strong, optimized Volvo-derived body from the expensive Volvo XC90. The XL7 does have a great engine. The XL7 transmission is not quite competitive, because a 6-speed or a CVT is better. I've had a Freestyle for 2 years and love it.

Does the Santa Fe have a 3rd row and if so, what are the specs?
