Toyota Corolla Tires and Wheels
I just purchased a 2007 Le , and among other options, I added the 15 inch Alum wheels. Isn't this supposed to be the same 15 inch 6 spoke wheel as the S model?? The salesman brought up on his computer, an ugly dished-out 5 spoke wheel! The only other ones were expensive Enkei wheels. I thought the code "AW" gave you the S model 6 spoke wheel?? Can anyone help me with the correct code? Thanks!

"Edmunds" shows only one(1) code for the alloy wheels: AW.
Hope this helps.
The low beam headlights turn on when the engine is on eventhough the headlight switches are off.The headlights turn off when the engine is off.I want to turn off headlights when switched off during engine on condition.please tell me the possible solution.
Thank you

PS -- Alloy wheels means no scratchy hubcaps for one!
Feel free to correct me if that's screwed up! LOL
do alloy wheels help performance? Thet do look better than hubcaps!! Any recommendations for aftermarket? While I like the GY Integrity tires, I'd like to make a switch before Winter...

OK< they are not that helpful and informative... YET!
Bueller?????
Settle down, Francis.
I would like to upgrade the stock tires to something better using the stock "S" rims. Consumer Reports rated the Goodyear TripleTred as the best of the ones they tested. I would also like to go to a more "sportier" look and therefore the 60 series tire. Any comments would be appreciated.
Can I get a full sized tire in the spare tire well in the trunk floor and replace the cover over it without it sticking up?
So, 60% of 205 = 123.
And, 65% of 195 = 126.75.
Thus, the 195/65-15 has a higher side wall and is a "higher tire".
I searched through the discussions here but didn't find the information I needed. I'd really appreciate any assistance in this matter and maybe a link that could help. Thanks alot.
I have a question! I just bought a 2010 Corolla LE. I like the drive and everything, but the standard 15" steel wheels+covers just look awful! I have read that alloys improve performance, braking and mpgs, so I was looking into maybe upgrading the steels to alloys when these original tires (only 10k on them, hopefully there's a bit more left!) wear out I was hoping to maybe put on alloy wheels instead. Does it matter if I go with OEM Toyota factory 16" alloy wheels or can I go with different ones? Does it matter if I looked for used alloy wheels? And where's the best shops for new and/or used alloy wheels? Thanks!
I'm very happy with the Yokohama Avid Envigor tires I bought recently.
1. Low rolling resistance still provides 40 MPG average in the warmer months. (lowest 39 / highest 44)
2. Long tread life-Rated at 620 (A lot better than the stock Bridgestone tires-rated at only 440)
3. Very quiet
4. Great traction on wet roads.
5. $$Price$$ was excellent-$400.00 out the door at Mr. Tire.
Size: 205/55/16
Just replaced OE Bridgestone Turanza EL 400-02 with Hankook Ventus V4.
$395 w/tax OTD after rebate. 50K tread warranty & lifetime road hazard.
Pros:
Smooth, quiet ride.
Great handling.
Good dry & wet traction.
Price
Cons:
Might not be perfect tire for heavy snow. I am thinking who wants to drive corolla for heavy snow?
Not so great corner handling.
Sounds like this mechanic is trying to scam you. I have a 2007 Corolla, purchased in 06, and JUST THIS MONTH I am finally shopping for my first ever set of replacement tires (still driving factory). For 2 years, I commuted an hour each way to work, and my car has been from SC to NJ. I have been driving on the worst roads in the USA (NJ's) for a little over 7 mos now, so I feel I've certainly gotten my $ worth out of the factory tires (5 years).
